Nicki occasionally disappoints me as a fan and annoys me (usually about shit the general public never notice), but I will never say I hate her. I get it. I fucking get it. Feels a bit odd to, but I do. For the performance, I knew it was going to be some kooky shit. I was also a bit apprehensive to judge because luckily, my mind slipped me a quick reminder of how I almost always end up having her song on repeat after a negative view on it on first few listens. Sometimes that cycle goes counterclockwise though. I also don’t give a fuck about the Madonna and Gaga comparisons. I just don’t. I did feel spots of uneasiness during the performance at times but fuck it, I was entertained and I can’t wait to finally hear the studio version of Roman Holiday. Also glad to hear her reveal how that was the most comfortable she’s ever been on stage.
